The enterprise produces and sells flammable liquid chemical raw materials (such as ethanol and acetone). It once experienced a small-scale leakage accident due to improper storage management, and was ordered to rectify by the local emergency management department. To completely eliminate potential safety hazards, the enterprise invested 8 million yuan to upgrade its safety management system: In the storage link, in accordance with the “Regulations on the Safety Administration of Hazardous Chemicals”, different types of hazardous chemicals were stored in classified and zoned areas (flammable liquids in independent warehouses, isolated from oxidants). Storage facilities were upgraded (installing explosion-proof electrical equipment, leak detection sensors, and emergency sprinkler systems), and an automatic temperature and humidity control system was deployed (temperature controlled at 15-25℃). Strict warehousing acceptance and outbound verification processes were established, with 6 professional warehouse managers assigned and regular safety training conducted. In the transportation link, 3 logistics enterprises with hazardous chemical transportation qualifications were selected, requiring transport vehicles to be equipped with GPS real-time positioning, video monitoring, and emergency protection equipment. Optimal routes avoiding densely populated areas were formulated to realize visual tracking of the entire transportation process, and mixed transportation of multiple types of hazardous chemicals was prohibited. In the use link, gas concentration monitoring sensors were installed in production workshops, triggering acousto-optic alarms immediately when exceeding standards. Full sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) were provided for operators, and regular emergency drills for leakage and fire were conducted. Meanwhile, a safety risk account was established, with monthly safety hazard inspections and 100% rectification completion rate. After the upgrade of the safety system, the enterprise has not experienced any safety accidents, obtained the Level 1 Certification of Work Safety Standardization, and become a model enterprise for hazardous chemical safety management in the local area. Customer confidence in cooperation has been significantly enhanced, with new customers increasing by 40% in 2024.
